This large, American site repeatedly, time after time, shows that the popular, verse skipping, mainstream Christian churches cannot even come close to Biblically proving, beyond reasonable doubt, their claim that most or all of the Mosaic laws have been abolished. Do the following verses refer only to really bad people like murderers and drug dealers, or can they also apply to something else where other people are not always adversely, immediately affected? Read how Joseph H. Thayer, a world class expert on Greek word definitions, defines ANOMIA, the kind of lawlessness that Jesus warned primarily Christians about. ANOMIA, a relatively rare word appearing only 13 times in the Bible, is usually translated loosely as lawlessness or iniquity.
MATTHEW 7:23: “…… I NEVER EVER KNEW YOU, DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO VIOLATE THE TORAH (ANOMIA).” (exeGeses Companion Bible) Exegeses means a “critical analysis.” The Greek word anomia appears in this verse. Not all of the Old Testament laws need to be obeyed, though, since the Apostle Luke revealed that the circumcision law (SPECIFICALLY NAMING IT) has been abolished, and Paul explained that the sacrifice and Levitical priesthood laws (ALSO SPECIFICALLY NAMING THEM) have also been annulled. They never did specifically name the food, festival, tithing, and Saturday Sabbath laws in the same way, so those laws, using a little reasonable logic, remain intact.

How dare frail, human translators, trusted by others to be impartially objective, arrogantly insert their own personal opinions directly between the sacred words of our precious Savior, but that is exactly what most of them have done. Not just a few, but MOST English translations of the Bible are TAINTED (RUINED is probably a better word) with a VERY MISLEADING, ANTI-OLD TESTAMENT, PERSONAL OPINION INSERTED BY TRANSLATORS AFTER THE ORIGINAL GREEK AT THE END OF MARK 7:19, which tries to trick you into thinking that the food laws have been abolished. According to the literal Greek the subject of Mark 7:19 really is the failure of some of the disciples of Jesus to always WASH THEIR HANDS before eating, a strict Jewish custom, NOT forbidden food. Mark 7:2,5: “Now when they saw some of His disciples eat bread with …… unwashed hands, they found fault. 5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, ‘Why do Your disciples …… eat bread with unwashed hands?’ ” (NKJV) Mark 7:18,19: “He answered, ‘Don’t you know what I am talking about by now? You surely know that the food you put into your mouth cannot make you unclean. 19 It doesn’t go into your heart, but into your stomach, and then out of your body.’ BY SAYING THIS, JESUS MEANT THAT ALL FOODS WERE FIT TO EAT.” (Contemporary English Version) Those capitalized words in red are not those of Jesus or of any Apostle and are not in the original Greek. Those words came from the biased, antinomian mind of the translator. The above red verses in Mark are the perfect example of what Jude warned us about, the secret infiltration of shameless scoundrels trying to replace grace with lawlessness. Jude 1:4: “…… some people have infiltrated our ranks …… who beneath their pious skin are SHAMELESS SCOUNDRELS. Their design is to REPLACE the sheer GRACE of our God with SHEER LICENSE—which means doing away with Jesus ……” (The Message) Just that one comment alone at the end of Mark 7:19 by the translator automatically reveals his true attitude towards OT law keeping, which he will try to subtly express throughout the entire NT, seizing the opportunity wherever he can to take advantage of seemingly vague or ambiguous law keeping verses to assert his own theology. That unjustified, prejudiced addition plus the widespread, DELIBERATE SLANTING of the literal translation of certain other usually overly concise, over generalized, controversial law verses (Acts 15:24, Ephesians 2:15, Hebrews 7:18, Mark 7:19, etc.) away from all OT law keeping is a major, if not THE MAJOR REASON why mainstream Christianity has sinfully abandoned observing many still valid Mosaic laws. The magnitude of this ABOMINABLE, HIGHLY BLASTPHEMOUS TRANSLATION ATROCITY is so immense that words cannot adequately describe it except possibly one: Satanic. Apparently that old, lying “Serpent” has again successfully slithered his way into what we trust the most, the holy Scriptures.
Christianity is under the New Covenant, but the laws of the Old Covenant have always been SEPARATE from the Old Covenant itself, and still valid. Otherwise, for example, Old Covenant/Old Testament prohibited incestuous sex/marriages, legal in some countries, which produce a higher percentage of terribly deformed children, and using our Creator’s name disrespectfully would no longer be sinful. Also, if the food and Feast of Tabernacles laws were abolished, then Isaiah, who successfully predicted 685 years in advance that our Savior would come from a virgin, lied to us in his Isaiah 66:17 prophesy warning that those who ate pig meat in the distant future would be destroyed, and Zechariah lied to us when he prophesied in Zechariah 14:16-19 that a curse will be placed on any nation that does not observe that feast in the future. If the law really has been annulled, then Micah, who successfully predicted 700 years in advance that Jesus Christ would be born in Bethlehem, in Micah 4:1-3 and Jeremiah in Jeremiah 31:31,33,34 also lied to us when they predicted basically that all Christians in the distant future will be expected to obey the law. It is highly unlikely, of course, that any of these great prophets lied. It is even more unlikely that all of them lied to us. The Old Covenant was an AGREEMENT or CONTRACT between God and Israel to protect and prosper them if and only if they obeyed His laws. The Old Covenant, per se, was merely a PROMISE to protect and prosper them, so the Old Covenant was basically the promise itself, and nothing more than that promise. It was a major, mega promise or agreement. The Apostles revealed that the circumcision, sacrifice, and Levitical priesthood laws, though, have been annulled. The “newness” of the Old Covenant consists of much better promises such as the gift of the Holy Spirit, forgiveness of sin, and immortality.
Again for emphasis, only six (6) vague verses, Romans 6:14, 7:4, 7:6, Galatians 2:19, 3:19, and 3:25 in the entire Bible say basically that Christians have been released from, have died to, or are not under the law. It cannot be proven beyond reasonable doubt that these 6 vague verses apply to most or all of the Mosaic laws simply because nearby Romans 3:31, 6:1,2, 6:15, and Matthew 7:23 VERY EMPHATICALLY “SPELL OUT” that the general law must still be obeyed, which greatly narrows down whatever laws the 6 vague verses refer to. The only remaining laws left for the 6 vague verses to refer to are the few laws discussed by the Apostles as abolished. Three of the 6 vague verses, Romans 6:14, 7:4, and 7:6 refer only to Romans 8:2, the now abolished death penalty mega law, not the general law. The great death penalty law previously dominated or influenced most law keeping during Old Testament times, and it is the only law specified by name as abolished in Romans. Galatians 2:3 and 2:12 explain that Galatians 2:19, one more of the 6 vague verses, refers only to the abolished circumcision law. Remember, the circumcision word appears 15 times in Galatians, which was written only 5 years after circumcision was abolished to primarily update church congregations about the new decision to annul circumcision at the Jerusalem Conference. Hebrews 9:9,10 explains that Galatians 3:19, 3:25, the last 2 of the 6 vague verses, refer only to the now annulled sacrifice laws, because circumcision and sacrifices, not all the laws, were singled out and emphasized in Galatians as abolished after Jesus came. 1 John 3:4 says sin is breaking the law, the remaining general law which, using a little reasonable logic, includes the still valid food, festival, tithing, and Saturday rest laws which are also affirmatively or favorably referred to in other books of the New Testament. Incorrectly and desperately clinging to the 6 vague verses mentioned above and lifting them “sky high” out of context, mainstreamers rabidly insist that important laws like the food, festival, tithing, and Saturday Sabbath rest laws have been done away with, but be on your guard, because those laws have NOT been conclusively annulled. Matthew 7:23 sternly warns that those breaking the law will NOT inherit eternal life. Again, these 6 vague verses appear in ONLY 2 books, ROMANS and GALATIANS. These 6 vague verses are CONTEXTUALLY LIMITED to only the 1) old circumcision law, the 2) sacrifices laws, or to the 3) law requiring the automatic penalty of eternal death for capital offense sins (even if one later repented) because those overwhelmingly are the MAIN, PRIMARY subjects of the chapters where those verses appear that are in Galatians and Romans. Again, these 6 vague verses occur ONLY 6 times in the entire Bible, 3 times in Romans and 3 times in Galatians. Mainstream preachers, please explain why ALL of those “freed or delivered from the law” and similar verses are CONSPICUOUSLY ABSENT in ALL of the other 25 books of the New Testament, especially since some of those books repeatedly warn Christians against breaking some other Old Testament laws. Again, in Romans, whose overwhelming context in chapters 6 and 7 where those verses appear is the mega, monumental law of sin and death that no longer applies to Christians’ PAST, REPENTED OF SINS. In Romans 6 and 7 the baptism word also appears UNUSUALLY FREQUENTLY making the now abolished eternal death penalty for old, repented of sins the obvious law that Christians have been freed from, pinpointed in Romans 8:2: “…… Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” In Galatians, the overwhelming context is the abolished law of now unnecessarily burdensome CIRCUMCISION. Abolished circumcision is the obvious law discussed since the circumcision word, one more time, occurs a relatively immense !!FIFTEEN (15) TIMES!! in Galatians. So ALL of those “freed or released from the law” and similar verses in Romans apply ONLY to the potentially eternal death penalty for old, pre-conversion violations of the law. In Galatians those “released from the law” verses apply to circumcision, and to a lesser extent sacrifices, because those are the MAIN subjects of Romans and Galatians. Those “delivered from the law” types of verses, then, DO NOT refer to other laws.
“…… YOU ARE NOT UNDER THE LAW BUT UNDER GRACE” states Romans 6:14. This obviously is a HIGHLY CONDENSED, HIGHLY CONDITIONAL, INCOMPLETE verse for a number of reasons, one of which is because GRACE is mentioned, which REQUIRES the Holy Spirit which in turn REQUIRES LAW KEEPING JUST TO ACQUIRE THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE FIRST PLACE (Acts 2:38)!! IT IS THE SECOND HALF OF THE LAW, THE PENALTY PART OF THE LAW, the potentially eternal death penalty part of OT law that true Christians are no longer under (Romans 8:2: “…… Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death”), as well as the sacrifice, circumcision, and Levitical priesthood laws specifically itemized by the Apostles as now abolished. The very next verse, Romans 6:15, however, shows that THE FIRST HALF OF THE LAW, THE OBEDIENCE PART OF THE LAW, MUST STILL BE OBEYED. Romans 6:15: “What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!” 1 John 3:4: “Sin is the violation of the torah.” (ExeGeses Companion Bible) Acts 2:38 commands us to stop sinning and be baptized for our sins to be forgiven, then we will receive the Holy Spirit. Stop sinning means to stop breaking Bible laws, and the ONLY WAY to do that is by OBEYING those laws. So acquisition of the Holy Spirit REQUIRES obedience to the law. Evidence that Romans 6:14 is conditional lies in 1) GALATIANS 5:18 which reveals that the ONLY people not “under” the old law of sin and death (Romans 8:2) are Christians who HAVE the Holy Spirit, and are led by it and 2) ACTS 2:38 which in turn reveals that acquiring the Holy Spirit in the first place is HIGHLY CONDITIONAL on LAW KEEPING because Christians must SINCERELY REPENT (repent of sinning [of breaking the law]) to receive the Holy Spirit, which means they must STOP sinning, defined Biblically as breaking primarily Old Testament laws. The O-N-L-Y way to stop breaking those laws is to OBEY those laws!!
Below is a brief summary of just some of the many, many highly unBiblical teachings and deliberate mistranslations of mainstream Christianity that directly contradict what the divinely inspired, holy Bible says literally in the Greek:
UNBIBLICAL TEACHING: Hijacking the first half of John 3:36 and dumping the second half of that verse, most mainstreamers assert that obedience to Jesus is not necessary for salvation. Biblical fact: The second half of John 3:36 says: “and he who DISOBEYS the Son SHALL NOT see life, but the wrath of God abides on him,” which “spells out” that obedience is necessary.
Ezekiel 18:20: “The soul who sins shall die ……” is a major law in the Old Testament that is no longer always true with the gift of forgiving grace.
UNBIBLICAL TEACHING: Again, mainstreamers distort the truth when they “quote” what Luke 16:16 says in most translations: “The law and the prophets WERE until John: from that time the kingdom of God is announced ……” Biblical fact: WERE is not in the original Greek and was ADDED by anti-Mosaic law leaning translators. Also, the word “until” can be translated just as easily as “unto,” radically changing the meaning of this verse.
UNBIBLICAL TEACHING: When ministers quote the most common translation of Acts 15:24 without explaining that another translation is also quite possible, they give their congregations the impression that the common translation is the ONLY one possible, which is a LIE, deception by omission. Acts 15:24: “Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, you must be circumcised, AND keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment.” Since this seemingly anti-law keeping verse is so inconsistent with many dozens of pro-law keeping verses in the New Testament, not only a red flag, but a “pulsating, red flare” should streak skyward warranting a check of the Greek. Biblical fact: The Greek for AND is kai, Strong’s 2532, usually translated as “and.” Kai definitely can be translated in other ways, however, depending on the context. It can be translated as “even, so, then, so then, certainly, just, now, while, for, that, therefore.” Kai can mean “as a consequence or result of an action taken” in which verse 24 could very well mean that circumcision would merely be an act or consequence of keeping the law of Moses, and Mosaic law observance in general then was not addressed. Verse 24: “…… subverting your souls, saying, you must be circumcised SO THEN or CERTAINLY or NOW or WHILE or FOR or THAT or THEREFORE keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment” are other very possible translations. The Apostles merely concluded that imposing circumcision, not the law in general, on Christians would be too much of a burden.
Why do mainstreamers misinterpret the Bible so badly? Short answer: The New Testament appears to have been originally, deliberately written in a way so as to occasionally in a very subtle way, leave open the possibility for confusion (ESPECIALLY for those determined to evade Mosaic law keeping) in certain often “controversial” verses if each word in those verses is not closely analyzed, and if the context is also not very closely analyzed. Thus the number of people saved will be temporarily minimized until the return of Jesus. According to some NT verses, God is now “calling,” or drawing to Him only a relatively small number of special people to be in the highly coveted first resurrection to be “kings and priests,” but these saints in training can understand or can learn to understand the Bible correctly now even as it was originally written. Hopefully mainstreamers will be in the much larger, second resurrection occurring a little over a thousand years after the first resurrection.
2 Peter 3:17: “Dear friends, you have already been warned about this. So be on your guard. Then you won’t be led astray by PEOPLE WHO DON’T OBEY THE LAW. Instead, you will remain SAFE.” (New International Reader’s Version) Peter is also referring to the Mosaic laws that mainstream Christians claim no longer need to be obeyed, which is a monstrous lie.
MORE MISUNDERSTOOD LAW VERSES
1) Yes, some verses put law keeping in its proper perspective, explaining that it is really grace or faith that saves us, not law keeping. Those verses, however, are merely RELATIVE COMPARISONS emphasizing the importance of faith and grace. They do not specifically, clearly state that law keeping really can be abandoned. To illustrate, it is really a bullet that kills a deer, not the gun or hunter pulling the trigger. But the killing bullet REQUIRES a gun and the hunter to aim and pull the trigger. Likewise grace REQUIRES law keeping for grace to exist. For example, law keeping is definitely required just to receive the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:38.
2) Yes, some verses are broad generalizations saying essentially say that love FULFILLS the law. Again, such verses do not clearly, specifically state that law keeping can be abandoned. More importantly, though, the first, primary definition of the Greek word for “fulfills” (pleroo) in those verses merely means to complete, to add to, to fill more fully, or to make more perfect. In other words, love MAKES THE LAW PERFECT. The main definition of pleroo does NOT mean to replace, substitute, or abolish.
3) Yes, Christians claiming that they have been “BORN AGAIN” believe that they can no longer lose their salvation through sin. No human, except Jesus Who was once human, has ever been “born again,” though, because this involves being born into a literally immortal, NON-PHYSICAL, NON-FLESH, spirit body that could not possibly consist of flesh and blood according to John 3:3-8,13. When was the last time you saw a “born again” Christian BECOME INVISIBLE AT WILL, LIKE THE WIND, as Jesus clearly described such Christians? “Born again” Christians also ignore 1 Corinthians 9:27 which reveals that Paul himself admits that he could lose his salvation if he does not continue to reasonably discipline himself to avoid sin. Dead (unconscious) but saved Christians will suddenly, very literally, be miraculously born again into a non-flesh spirit body during the first resurrection.
4) And yes, some verses do criticize OT law keeping (when ONLY law keeping is used to acquire salvation) by some people, including especially “hard core,” stubborn Jews, who INSIST on using ONLY law keeping to save them from their sins. These people REFUSE to accept grace and the atoning, sacrificial death of Jesus to cover their sins. Galatians 3:10,11,13, 4:21, 5:1-4, and Romans 3:28 are some examples of those kinds of verses.
Merely not explicitly itemizing in the NT all still applicable OT laws is not sufficient, conclusive proof, beyond reasonable doubt, that those laws have been done away with. When the NT was being written, the Apostles knew that Christians were able to read about those laws in the OT, and to record all of them again in the NT probably would have been considered unnecessarily redundant.
Matthew 19:17: “….. BUT IF you want to enter into life, KEEP the commandments.”
Revelation 22:14: “Blessed are those who DO HIS COMMANDMENTS, that they may HAVE THE RIGHT to the tree of life ……” Remember, the Ten Commandments contain the one requiring rest on Saturday, not Sunday, which was started by the Catholics.
IF YOU WANT TO GET THE SALVATION REQUIRED HOLY SPIRIT, ACTS 2:38 STRICTLY DEMANDS THAT YOU OBEY THE LAW, WHICH MEANS ALSO OBEYING COMPLETELY ALL THE DIETARY AND FESTIVAL LAWS BECAUSE THOSE LAWS NEVER WERE NAMED BY THE APOSTLES AS ABOLISHED LAWS.
ACTS 2:38: “Peter replied, ‘All of you MUST TURN AWAY FROM YOUR SINS and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then your sins will be forgiven. You will receive the gift of the HOLY SPIRIT.’” (New International Reader’s Version) The Greek for “SINS” refers to anomia, defined as breaking mostly OT laws. “Turn away from your sins” means EXACTLY the same as STOP BREAKING BIBLICAL LAWS. The ONLY way to show evidence of sincere repentance for sinning is to stop breaking Biblical laws, by OBEYING Biblical laws.
Therefore a Christian will never, ever receive the Holy Spirit UNTIL HE STARTS OBEYING THE LAW!!
For those who mistakenly believe that all the OT laws have been abolished, why does Acts 2:38 require us to stop breaking OT laws if those laws have been abolished? Obvious conclusion: Many of those laws never were abolished!!
ACTS 5:32: “…… The HOLY SPIRIT, which God gave to those who OBEY Him ……” (New Simplified Bible)
ISAIAH 66:17: “…… SOME OF YOU …… EAT THE MEAT OF PIGS …… BUT I, THE LORD, WILL DESTROY YOU (WILL BE BURNED ALIVE) FOR THIS.” This terrifying verse is from the Contemporary English Version, parenthesized words added. Paul’s warning in 2 Corinthians 6:17 to NOT EVEN TOUCH what is UNCLEAN, are not just idle words. If you cannot even touch the unclean then you obviously cannot, by implication, eat what is unclean.
POSITIVE references in the NT to the continued observance of the dietary, tithing, and festival laws provide additional evidence that those laws are still valid. Each one of the following NT verses refers either to the Saturday Sabbath, dietary, tithing, or festival laws. The context in which those verses appear indicate that those laws are still very much in force: Matthew 19:17, 23:23, 24:30, Mark 2:7, 5:2-17, Luke 4:16, 11:42, 18:12, John 14:15, 14:21, 15:10, Acts 10:14, 18:21, 20:6, 27:9, 1 Corinthians 5:8, 7:19, 2 Corinthians 6:17, Colossians 2:16,17, Hebrews 4:9, 1 John 2:3,4, 3:22,24, 5:2,3, and Revelation 12:17, 14:12.
The Biblical definition of GRACE is defined as follows: ROMANS 3:24,25: “…… GRACE, through …… Jesus: …… 25 in His pity God let the SINS OF EARLIER TIMES GO UNPUNISHED” (Bible in Basic English). The words “SINS OF EARLIER TIMES” mean “past sins,” and past sins only, not future or post baptismal, un-repented of sins. Grace is not an unlimited license to sin after initial repentance of sinning, defined as breaking Biblical laws. TO REMAIN UNDER GRACE, WHICH IS A TYPE OF PARDON FOR PAST SINS, YOU MUST STOP SINNING SINCE GRACE COVERS ONLY PAST, PRE-BAPTISMAL SINS REPENTED OF AND FUTURE SINS COMMITTED ACCIDENTALLY OR THROUGH EXTREME TEMPTATION OR CARELESSNESS, IF SINCERELY REPENTED OF. A state governor, for example, usually will not pardon and free an imprisoned, unrepentant murderer who openly admits that he cannot guarantee that he will not murder again.
We are COMMANDED to obey the Ten Commandments (13 times) and the tithing laws (Matthew 23:23, Luke 11:42) in the NT. Are those laws, which contain the Saturday rest and tithing laws, part of the original OT laws? Yes, obviously!! That is additional, unchallengeable proof that HIGHLY QUALIFIED, CONCISE verses saying basically that we “are no longer under the law” CANNOT POSSIBLY be saying ABSOLUTELY that we no longer need to obey ANY of the OT laws. Some OT laws command us to not remove property landmarks and to not be a member of a vandalizing mob, common sense laws which even most pagan societies obey.
JOHN 4:22: “…… salvation is FROM THE JEWS [i.e., through Jewish prophets, Jewish Scriptures and a Jewish Messiah].” (An Understandable Version)
HEBREWS 10:16: “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My LAWS into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them.” The Greek for “LAWS” in the above verse is nomos, 3551, which refers primarily to the MOSAIC LAWS.
PAUL HIMSELF ADMITS THAT A LACK OF SELF DISCIPLINE COULD CAUSE HIM TO LOSE HIS SALVATION !!
1 CORINTHIANS 9:27: “But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become DISQUALIFIED.” Paul admits he himself could fail to be saved! The Greek word for “DISQUALIFIED” is adokimos, Strong’s 96, defined as unapproved, rejected, worthless, castaway, and reprobate. 2 Corinthians 13:5: “….. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are DISQUALIFIED.” The very same Greek word adokimos also appears in 2 Corinthians 13:5 as the original Greek word for “DISQUALIFIED,” very strongly implying that Paul in 1 Corinthians 9:27 was admitting that he could lose his salvation by no longer having “Jesus in him” if his sins were serious and prolonged enough to “disqualify” him. Titus 1:16: “They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and DISQUALIFIED for every good work.” Adokimos in verse 16 again appears in the Greek for the word “DISQUALIFIED.” Therefore deliberate, sustained failure to obey NT as well as OT laws can still cost Christians their salvation. Concerning sins committed after our repentance and baptism, however, Jesus is also our “mediator.” 1 John 2:1 reveals that when we sin, we can further repent and confess our sins in prayer, and Jesus can then plead our case with God the Father.
ROMANS 1:5: “Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for OBEDIENCE to the faith ……”
Hebrews 5:9: “…… He became the author of eternal salvation to all who OBEY Him.”
Understanding ANOMIA better continued:
It really is true, believe it or not, that the real New Testament, literal definition of LAWLESSNESS, anomia, is “TO SIN IN IGNORANCE OF THE MOSAIC LAW” and “DESTITUTE OF THE MOSAIC LAW” quoting Joseph Henry Thayer.
MATTHEW 7:21-23: “NOT EVERYONE ……. SHALL ENTER …… HEAVEN …… 22 MANY (POLUS) WILL SAY …… ‘LORD, LORD, (desperately crying out fearing rejection), HAVE WE NOT PROPHESIED (preached) IN YOUR NAME …… 23 AND THEN I WILL DECLARE TO THEM, ‘I NEVER KNEW YOU; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS!’ ” (ANOMIA)
The somewhat rarely used Greek word for lawlessness is ANOMIA which is defined as DESTITUTE OF THE MOSAIC LAW and TO SIN IN IGNORANCE OF THE MOSAIC LAW despite what mainstream Christianity has taught you all of your life. Most people mistakenly assume that the majority is always right. Most translators are anti-Old Testament leaning, so they usually translate ANOMIA into the deceptively more general, less specific “lawlessness” or “iniquity.” Most Christians are also completely unaware of the possible definitions of the Greek word for MANY (POLUS) in verse 22 above. When used elsewhere in the Bible POLUS often means not just the majority, but ominously the VAST MAJORITY!!
1 JOHN 3:4: “…… SIN IS THE VIOLATION OF THE TORAH.” (exeGeses Companion Bible) The Bible’s Old Testament (Mosaic) laws are the Torah.
1 JOHN 3:4: “…… SIN hamartia 266 IS esti 2076 LAWLESSNESS ANOMIA 458.” (The Interlinear Bible Hebrew Greek English) The Biblical definition of sin as “spelled out” in 1 John 3:4 involves violating primarily Old Testament laws according to the definition of anomia despite what your trusted, local mainstream Christian minister says as he fumbles to explain the above terrifying verses. After the long simmering Arab Israeli conflict finally erupts into a prophesied nuclear war, Jesus Christ will return to save humanity from itself and to start the glorious 1,000 year Christian Millennium on the earth revealed in Revelation 20:1-7. Matthew 13:41,42’s “Furnace of Fire” will be carried out only after the close of the approaching Christian Millennium (after the then visible Jesus has patiently taught law keeping for a thousand long years while on the earth), and just before the “new heavens and a new earth are created” (2 Peter 3:7,10,12,13).
GOD THE FATHER HAS NOT CHANGED (MALACHI 3:6, JAMES 1:17). THE DOCTRINES OF JESUS AND GOD THE FATHER ARE IDENTICAL. THEY ARE ONE AND THE SAME. JOHN 7:16: “…… ‘MY DOCTRINE IS NOT MINE, BUT HIS WHO SENT ME.’ ”
ROMANS 2:12: “FOR AS MANY AS HAVE SINNED (IN IGNORANCE OF THE MOSAIC LAWS, ANOMOS, STRONG’S 460) WITHOUT LAW ALSO WILL BE DESTROYED……” (A Conservative Version Interlinear, some Greek words and Strong’s numbers omitted, parenthesized words added)
2 THESSALONIANS 1:7-9: “…… WITH HIS POWERFUL ANGELS 8 AND WITH A FLAMING FIRE. OUR LORD JESUS WILL PUNISH ANYONE WHO …… WON’T OBEY HIS MESSAGE. 9 THEIR PUNISHMENT WILL BE ETERNAL DESTRUCTION ……” (Contemporary English Version)
